How the scores work

Four fundamental scores for every company we rate, built from reported financials with a method we publish. They describe where a business stands today. They do not predict where its share price goes next.

Valuation

Is it cheap or expensive next to its peers?

P/E, P/B, P/S, EV/EBITDA, free cash flow yield

Quality

Is it a durable, well-run business?

Return on equity and capital, margins, accruals

Growth

Is it growing, and steadily?

Revenue, EPS and cash flow growth, consistency

Health

Could it get through a downturn?

Debt, interest coverage, liquidity, Altman Z-score

Each pillar runs from 0 to 100, with 50 as the median by construction. Momentum is tracked on its own as a price trend (Strong, Neutral or Weak) and is not part of the four.
